Stephen King announces the new “Shining”
The new book by Stephen King finally has a release date.
The same Stephen King announced the official release date of “Doctor Sleep”, the novel that will be the sequel to “The Shining” and will be available in American bookstores in about a year, exactly 24 September 2013.
Stephen King then returns to the atmosphere and themes of one of his most famous novels.
Published in 1977, “The Shining” was adapted for the big screen three years later by Stanley Kubrick in the 1980 film masterpiece starring Jack Nicholson, Shelley Duvall, Danny Lloyd, Scatman Crothers and Philip Stone.
Universally recognized as one of the best films of Stanley Kubrick, in fact, the film version of “The Shining” has never been appreciated by Stephen King, disappointed by the lack of adherence and loyalty Kubrick film against the original novel.
