F1,Ferrari mea culpa:”we risked too much”
SEPANG (Malaysia) – A Malaysian Gp bitter for Fernando Alonso. The Ferrari driver was withdrawn early in the second round after damaging his front wing in a collision with Vettel after the start. In Ferrari reciting the mea culpa for the decision not to return immediately to the Spanish box. The first research team principal Stefano Domenicali: “Too bad, we ran an unnecessary risk with Alonso, with a wing that has not taken. Evaluate everything but it was a risk that we should not take,” he said after the race.
“I had to take a risk so early. It is thought to continue Fernando Alonso for another round but the damaged wing has failed and the game is over there. Pity,” continued Domenicali. “The idea was to continue to do so groped for a pit stop later and also change the intermediate tires with slicks, but it was an unnecessary risk, and there it went wrong,” said Domenicali.
