8-10 November:7th edition of Festimode Casablanca Fashion Week
After New York, London, Milan and Paris Fashion Week finally opens the door to Casablanca. First international event for contemporary fashion in Morocco, Casablanca Festimode Fashion Week takes place this year from 8 to 10 November 2012, at the Cathédrale du Sacré-Cœur.
Since 2006, the exports FCFW the art of Moroccan designers in national and international audiences, giving light to the many talents of the country. From this edition, the event will have an international dimension by taking on, in addition to Moroccan designers, even the designers from the entire Mediterranean area. Among them, the Italian Paolo Errico and Turkish designer Hatice Gökçe.
Fashion Week in Casablanca remains one of the major engines for the development of the creative sector in Morocco and an important vector for the spread of modern international image of the country, making Casablanca one of the world’s fashion capitals.
This 7th edition will be an opportunity to discover the Moroccan designer,
including Said Mahrouf, Noureddine Amir, and Fadila El Gadi.
The FCFW choose Casablanca, not only because it is the largest city in the country, but for the energy and creativity that this city can express. During the reconstruction of the city, the influence of decorative arts and the Moroccan Arab-Andalusian style is mixed with different styles, such as Art Nouveau, Art Deco, as well as cubism and modern styles, which are Casablanca a city with a high aesthetic.
